Pyrotite surface finish consists of magnesium oxide cement reinforced with fiberglass mesh. This surface finish is firmly adhered to core OSB board without cracks and delamination. Cement-based surface finishing increases the fire resistance on all sides of the OSB board, limits the spread of flame on the OSB surface and thus significantly reduces the spread of building fire.
OSB Firestop boards provide high capacity and fire resistance to building structures, in addition, they are lighter and more durable than gypsum boards. When the thickness of the two plate types is the same, they have similar combustion characteristics with sheath systems based on the combination of OSB and alumina plate.
